National Football League fans in Louisiana and across the nation are gearing up for the 2016 season. Many follow news regarding their favorite players, sometimes leading to stories that pertain to more than just football. Fans of San Diego Chargers defensive lineman, Joey Bosa, know that he missed training camp due to a contract dispute.
Bosa was chosen third overall in the first round of the this year's NFL draft. He is credited with 150 tackles, five forced fumbles and 26 sacks in 41 games during his spectacular college career. Chargers General Manager, Tom Telesco, recently expressed joy that Bosa will finally be joining the rest of the team on the playing field.
Telesco said the team is doing everything in its power to help Baso prepare, as quickly as possible, for the upcoming season. It was recently reported that Bosa had finally reached a contract agreement on a 4-year term. No details regarding the specific issue that held up execution of the contract was reported. However, it is common knowledge the dispute centered around the amount of guaranteed money Bosa would be paid up front by the team.
A contract dispute might not be uncommon in any Louisiana business, as written agreements are the lifeblood of our economy. Most who face such problems want swift and financially viable solutions. The chances of such are typically increased by consulting with an experienced business lawyer before making any final decisions or signing any agreements. By acting alongside seasoned representation, one can be assured that all personal and business interests will be protected as positive resolutions are obtained and potential future problems are avoided.
