Clara Van Horn

Biography

Clara Van Horn grew up on the Northshore and graduated from Mandeville High School in 2007. She attended Millsaps College in Jackson, MS, and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a minor in Spanish Language and Literature in 2011 and a Master of Business Administration in 2012. Clara then obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2016, and she is now licensed to practice law in both Louisiana and Mississippi. 

Before coming to Koch & Schmidt, Clara practiced Social Security Disability Law for five years, and in 2018 she co-authored and published "The Book on Social Security Disability: A Practical Guide to Obtaining Your Disability Benefits."

In her free time, Clara loves volunteering. She sits as the attorney member on the board of directors for the Family Violence Program of St. Bernard, and she is an active member of the Junior League of New Orleans. Clara is also very involved in her church, Church of the King, where she serves in many capacities. Additionally, Clara is an ongoing volunteer and a past event committee member for Next Generation Clubs, a student mentoring program in local schools, as well as an active member of Bible Study Fellowship - New Orleans.
